3. Ingram School of Nursing Scholarship Opportunities Fall 2012

|INGRAM SCHOOL OF NURSING ALUMNI AWARDS||Students currently enrolled in our undergraduate and master’s programs. Applicants must have completed the equivalent of a full year of university studies within the past two years.||The number of awards granted varies from year-to-year based on donations made to the Ingram School of Nursing Alumni Association. In the past, 10-12 awards were granted. The awards are an average of $900 each and the value will be pro-rated to student load (e.g. full time, part time).||The Ingram School of Nursing Alumni Awards Committee reviews and evaluates each application. While academic standing is of primary importance, the Committee will also take into consideration leadership demonstrated in the School, the University, and/or the community at large. Due to limited funding, students who have not yet received awards or bursaries may be considered first.|
|MAIMONIDES GERIATRIC CENTRE FOUNDATION BURSARY||Students currently enrolled in our undergraduate and master’s programs and who demonstrate an interest in geriatrics.||One award is granted each year in the amount of $2,500 at the discretion of the Maimonides Geriatric Centre Foundation.||The Ingram School of Nursing Alumni Awards Committee reviews and evaluates each application. The Committee will take into consideration past and present involvement with the elderly and geriatrics, and future interest in geriatrics.|
|NESSA LECKIE MEMORIAL AWARD||Students currently enrolled in our master’s programs and whose area of interest/study is mental health or psychiatric nursing. Not open to students enrolled in the Qualifying Year of the Direct Entry Masters program.||One award is granted each year of approximately $2,000.||The Ingram School of Nursing Alumni Awards Committee reviews and evaluates each application. The Committee will take into consideration past and present involvement and expertise in mental health or psychiatric nursing, and future interest in mental health or psychiatric nursing.|
