Experience Careers in Health: Nursing

Hello Nursing Students!

We are looking for some volunteers to help us out with a fantastic project being organized by the Medical Students’ Society.  Experience Careers in Health is part of a Community Outreach Project – an opportunity for Secondary IV students to come to McGill and see what it is like to be in a medical profession, be it Medicine, Physical/Occupational Therapy, Dentistry, or Nursing.  On May 16th and 17th, students will come to McGill and participate in workshops across the campus for a day-long event.
We will host the students at the Nursing Lab on University Street and provide them with a small workshop to look through the eyes of a nurse.  As volunteers, you will lead a small group of students through a workstation, providing a demonstration of a technical skill and providing explanations and questions as required.
Anyone who is interested in volunteering can e-mail Jessica.tremblay2@mail.mcgill.ca (PLEASE NOTE THE 2 🙂 ).  Don’t hesitate to e-mail me with any questions! We will try to have a meeting about the project in the last week of March, first week of April. This is a great opportunity to get involved with the community and share some of our nursing knowledge with the upcoming generations.
Thanks for your time! We look forward to working with you!
